About

I obtained my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2002 from Pacific University, School of Professional Psychology. I have been licensed as a psychologist in the state of Oregon since 2003. I am professionally affiliated with the American Psychological Association (APA), Oregon Psychological Association (OPA) and National Latino/a Psychological Association (NLPA).

I am fluent in English and Spanish, and I am able to provide psychological services in both languages. My clinical interests lie in conducting ethnically, culturally and linguistically appropriate psychological evaluations. I have experience working with Spanish-speaking Latinos from Mexico, Central America and South America, as well as Latinos from the Caribbean. I stay current with the latest research on conducting psychological evaluations with adults, especially with Latinos.

I primarily conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations on both Spanish and English speaking individuals. I am certified to conduct forensic evaluations in the state of Oregon with defendants involved in both the state and federal legal system. I address referrals that request the determination of a defendant’s competency to stand trail (ability to aid and assist). I also conduct criminal responsibility evaluations (insanity evaluations) to obtain, and provide to the legal system, clinical data and analysis concerning a defendant’s functioning, mental status, and capacities at the time of an alleged offense. In addition, I also conduct parental assessments with defendants involved in the legal system who are either referred by their attorneys or by the Department of Human Services (DHS). Furthermore, I conduct IPEs to determine if an individual is experiencing a mental health condition due to work.
